Walter Palmer grave (below).

These are pictures from Wequetequock Burial Ground in Stonington, Connecticut, in the area Brenda is presently serving (March 2009). This is where the founders of Stonington are buried. Two of the four founders are direct relatives: Thomas Minor (Brenda's 11th great-grandfather) and his father-in-law, Walter Palmer (12th great-grandfather). She was very excited to be in an area where several of our ancestoral lines have been traced!

The inscription on Thomas Minor's gravestone: "Here lyes the body of Liutenant Thomas Minor aged 83 departed 1690". The other side: "His wife 1608 Grace Palmer 1690." Walter Palmer's gravestone: "W. Palmer 1585-1661".
